Media Being Judgmental???

Media is certainly the voice of the nation. Definitely, there are no disagreements with that. I know that it is the 'Right to Freedom of Expression' that authorizes them to say what they want to say, along with certain reasonable restrictions. But, are these so-called 'reasonable restrictions' enough to check the violation of others rights. I dont think so. The job of the Media reporters is to report the matter and not come out with such authoratative conclusions that would enable them to influence the public and at times even unjustly pressurize the Authorities that are involved in the matter to take action. Media is also a part of the nation and hence, have a 'Social Responsibility'. Whatever they say should bring the true facts before the eyes of the public and it should not aim at mobilizing the public opinion. Media must behave as the fact finder and not the judgment giver.

Hail Hidayatullah!!!

Having spoken of school, let me say some thing about my college. I am a Law student studying at HIDAYATULLAH NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, RAIPUR, CHHATTISGARH. This is the sixth National Law University of India. The others being in Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Bhopal and the one that started after us is in Gujarat. Amongst them NLSIU, Bangalore is considered the best one. But all of them have been doing well.
I am the first batch of the college and hence, along with that come certain advantages and certain disadvantages. If we speak of advantages then we shall talk about good placements and if we are speaking about disadvantages then we shall speak about facilities. Well I am not sure how good or bad the readers would term my college to be. I would rather suggest them to vist our website - www.hnlu.ac.in

Sherwood Sherwood Rah! Raah!! Raaah!!!

People say that school plays a very important part in ones life. Yes, I agree, definitely it does. I, myself, happen to be part of a great school with a great heritage. Obviously, the alumini cannot be ignored as they are the ones who have brought glory for the institution. With people like Amitabh Bachchan, Sam Manekshaw, Kabir Bedi, Dalip Tahil, and the list goes on, SHERWOOD COLLEGE, NAINITAL has been very well known for 'character building', since 1869 (established). The alumini are well settled and are doing well.
Obviously, Sherwood College is not the only good college in the country. There are others like Doon, Scindhia and so on. But, I have am more favourable towards Sherwood College for understandable reasons. With its glorious past and bright future, I hope that it retains its style and values.
